Soep
Er zijn veel voordelen aan de omgang met andere mensen. Je bent bijvoorbeeld niet alleen en je doet nog 's wat andere eetgewoonten op. De laatste man in mijn leven had een obsessie met soep. Ik hield niet van soep, ik vond het maar een waterige zooi en een stoofpot op het vuur ruikt veel lekkerder. Maar als je maar lang genoeg met elkaar eet, zit je ineens middenin de voorkeuren van de ander. En ik dus aan de soep. Het werd ook in mijn huis vaste prik: wat eten we en welke soep? Het is alweer een tijd geleden dat deze meneer met zijn soepobsessie aan mijn tafel zat, maar ik ben op eigen houtje verder gegaan. Soep is goed. En er schijnen allerlei heilzame bijwerkingen te zijn als troost en gezellig, en van kippensoep gaat je griepje sneller over.
Vandaag is het pompoensoep want die is zo mooi oranje. Da's ook heilzaam.

Daar raakt u een voor mij gevoelig punt aan. Ik ben namelijk ook een groot soepeter. De eigenschap werd mij op Darwinistische wijze doorgegeven via de genen van mijn vadertje. Die kon er ook wat van. Van soep naar binnen lepelen, bedoel ik.
Ik weet het, het heeft iets truttigs, dat soep eten, maar een mens kan het ook gewoon 'schattig' noemen, zo'n man die compleet stil wordt als je een bord soep voor z'n neus zet. Het beest bedwongen, zeg maar.
Doe er uw voordeel mee bij uw eerstvolgende verovering.
