Beestjes
Nee, dit is geen patroontje van een zomerjurk of behang. Als je goed kijkt, zie je heel veel beestjes. Beestjes met lange staarten, beestjes met grote en kleine vleugels, korte pootjes of hele lange, en er zijn ook gewone muggen. Net als vorig jaar, als het echt goed warm wordt, komt deze hele verzameling beestjes in één dag tevoorschijn en zie je ze daarna alleen nog in wolken. Overal wolken met gekriebel en gezoem. Niet fijn. Gelukkig woont hier, tot groot verdriet van mijn buurvrouw, ook een kolonie dikke spinnen met enorme webcapaciteiten. De beestjes met hun kriebelpootjes en zoemgeluiden willen eigenlijk alleen maar naar binnen. Vraag me niet waarom, ieder weldenkend wezen is nu buiten, maar nee, zij moeten weer naar binnen. Stelletje dwarsliggers. En omdat met dit weer de deuren openstaan, kruipen ze gezellig boven langs de muren en houden daar met z'n vijfduizenden een Happy-Kriebel-Meeting. Weer niet zo fijn, want na zo'n heftig samenzijn gaan ze massaal dood en vallen ze naar beneden. Dus 's ochtends als ik opsta, stap ik eerst in zo'n wreed afgelopen feestje.
Vanmiddag liep ik in bloedheet Amsterdam, op zoek naar een vlieggordijn. Of anti-vlieggordijn, of anti-kriebelbeestjes gordijn. In elk geval: zo'n ding met slierten voor je deuropening. Nergens te krijgen. Belachelijk. Uiteindelijk kon ik bij Xenos nog de laatste uit de bak vissen, maar de afstand tussen de slierten is zo groot, dat daar met gemak nog drieduizend kriebelvliegers doorheen kunnen.
Afijn.
Voordat iemand denkt dat het me vandaag niet meezat: om half tien zwom ik in het IJmeer, om tien uur smeerde ik de eerste laag zonnebrandcrème op m'n lijf en speelde ik een potje badminton met de kinderen. Daarna las ik een boek en werd rood en rozig. Dus, op de kriebelbeestjes na, is wonen op tien minuten loopafstand van het strand zo gek nog niet.
En omdat alles fijner is in de zomer (en als excuus voor de vieze beestjesfoto) hier een zonniger digi van deze dag. (KLIK)
