Struikel

raamL.jpgEen foto vanuit mijn hotelkamer. Dit zag ik als ik op m'n rug op bed lag en naar buiten keek. Dat buiten was trouwens helemaal niet zielloos: Brussel is een goeie stad. Honderdentwee foto's maakte ik daar. Ik zal jullie de familiekieken besparen maar toch iets over mijn familie vertellen. De plaatjes komen zo.
Het was op een terras bij een frietkraam. Mijn moeder was aangewezen om de logistiek rond de aanschaf van broodjes en frieten te bewaken, maar ze werd afgeleid.Toen we uiteindelijk allen tesaam op het friet-terras zaten, kregen we de slappe lach. Om het ding op straat dat mijn moeder al wat langer in de gaten had gehouden. Een rond metalen gat met een opstaand randje waar waarschijnlijk een paal in hoort. Maar die was er nu niet, dus mensen struikelden voortdurend over het metalen gat. Het was een druk looppunt, ik had er in drie minuten wel honderd foto's van kunnen maken. Leedvermaakfoto's. Sorry. Onze waarschuwingen voor achteloze voorbijgangers werden gezien als idioot toeristengedrag. Bijna iedereen struikelde of struikelde net niet. Dat laatste vonden we dan een beetje jammer. Bij wijze van wraak, struikelde ik later zelf. Zo kwam het toch nog goed.
